Our story
Brasas was born from fire, family, and tradition.
My name is Ezequiel Gomez, a first-generation American with roots deeply planted in the Tierra Caliente region of Mexico — a place where food is bold, fire is essential, and cooking is a way of life. While I was raised in the United States, I spent four formative years living in Mexico, where I learned the fundamentals of true Mexican street food: respect for the ingredients, patience with the fire, and flavor built through time and technique.
Those experiences shaped not only how I cook, but why I cook.
At Brasas, we specialize in fire-grilled Mexican food, cooking our proteins over open flames to bring out deep, smoky flavors you can’t replicate on a flat-top. This style of cooking, paired with the street food traditions I grew up around, is at the heart of everything we serve. Every bite is inspired by the food I love — the food I grew up eating — and the memories tied to it.
We are a family-owned business, driven by passion, culture, and community. Our goal is simple: to bring people together through honest food, cooked with fire, and served with pride. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we want every meal at Brasas to leave a lasting impression.
One bite at a time, we’re bringing the authentic flavors of Mexico to the table.
